Symptom Remedy

Check that the speakers and components are connected

Press MUTING if the (muting) indicator is displayed on the
TV screen or the MASTER VOLUME indicator on the unit
flashes.
The headphones are connected to PHONES. Disconnect the
headphones.
The protective device on the receiver has been activated
because of a short circuit. (“PROTECT” appears in the display
window.) Turn off the unit, then eliminate the cause of the
short-circuit and turn on the unit again.
