3.19.6 Shut-down

When the pump is to be put out of service the following procedure must be observed:

cTurn the motor off.

cClose the supply lines of the heating/cooling circuit if applicable.

cIf solidification of the liquid must be avoided, clean the pump while the product is still in a fluid state

Note! When the liquid flows back from the discharge pipe to the pump, the pump may rotate in the opposite direction. This can be prevented by closing the discharge valve after the motor has been switched off.

3.19.7 Abnormal operation

Note! In case of abnormal operation or when troubles occur the pump must be taken out of service immediately. Inform all responsible personnel.

cPrior to restarting the pump, determine the reason for the problem and solve the problem.
