18.12.2 FOG ALERT TONE Frequency
Allows selection of the Frequency for the FOG horn signal. Available selections are “200 Hz” through “850 Hz” in 50 Hz steps. The default Alert Tone Frequency is 400 Hz.
1.Select the chart page and press the [MENU] key. Move the ShuttlePoint knob to highlight FOG SETUP and press [ENT] or move the ShuttlePoint knob to the right.
2.Press [ENT] or move the ShuttlePoint knob to the right again, move the ShuttlePoint knob up or down to select the “100 Hz” digits of the desired tone frequency (“2” through “8”).
3.Move the ShuttlePoint knob to the right, then move the ShuttlePoint knob up or down to select the “10 Hz” digits of the desired tone frequency (“0” or “5”).
4.Press [ENT] to store the selected setting.
5.Press [CLR] until the menu disappears or an easier method is to move the ShuttlePoint knob to the left a few times.

18.13 INTERCOM OPERATION
Connecting a CMP25 RAM+ or
1.Select the chart page and press the [MENU] key. Move the ShuttlePoint knob to highlight Intercom then press [ENT].
2.If your CPV550 is equipped with two CMP25 RAM+ Mic’s (or
| Handset), “INTERCOM” popup window appears on the display, select the | ||
| station you wish to communicate (Ram1, Ram2, or ALL) |

| with the ShuttlePoint knob, then press [ENT]. |

3. | When the “INTERCOM” is activated, a “INTERCOM” popup |
| |
| window is displayed on the CPV550, and “IC” is displayed |
| |
| on the CMP25 RAM+ Mic or | (CPV550’s PTT switch is pressed) | |
4. | Press [PTT]. “Talk” will be shown on the display. | ||

| NOTE: A warning beep will be emitted when the CPV550 |

| microphone’s [PTT] is pressed while the RAM+ Mic’s or |

5. | Speak slowly and clearly into the microphone, hold the (Second Station Mic’s PTT switch is pressed) | ||
| microphone about 1/2 inch (1.3 cm) away from your mouth. |

6.When finished, release [PTT].
7.To exit the “INTERCOM” mode and return to radio operation mode, press [MENU] and move the ShuttlePoint knob to highlight Exit Intercom, then press [ENT].
