Chapter 1 - Specifications

Principal characteristics

1.1.2 - Camera

Standards:

PAL 625/50, Digital link

NTSC 525/60, Digital link

Microlens sensors (PAL or NTSC):

IT 4/3 750 pixels - FIT 4/3 750 pixels (PAL only) - Switchable IT: 16/9 4/3 1000 pixels

Switchable FIT: 16/9 4/3 1000 pixels - switchable FIT: 16/9 4/3 1250 pixels

Optical system:

Prism f/1.4 RGB separator with two motor-driven filter wheels. One wheel fitted with 4 density filters (1=Clear, 2=1/4, 3=1/16, 4=1/64) and a wheel with 4 effect filters (A=Clear, B=Star 4, C=Strong Fog, D=Light Fog)

Note: The effect wheel and wheel drive are optional.

Fitting the optical system:

Standard bayonet mounting

Video processing:

12-bit digital

Signal-to-noise ratio:

Lens closed, Black level = 70 mV, 1000 kHz PH filters and 5 MHz PB filter, g = 1, gain = 0 dB, Contour OFF, Masking OFF => S/N rms on luminance > 60 dB at Channel Control Unit digital output (after digital-to-analog conversion)

Sensitivity:

Test conditions: 0 dB, White 90% reflectance. Colour temperature 3200°K,

lens aperture = f/8, whatever the type of CCD=1600 lux

Modulation depth at 400 TV lines (5.1 MHz for 4/3 or 6.8 MHz for 16/9):

for luminance: > 55% (Contour OFF) and 100% after correction (Contour ON).

Superpositions (depending on lens used):

Area 1: 20 ns - Area 2: 30 ns - Area 3: 40 ns
