Front porch adjustment
Adjustment of the composite signal front porch width is made using the «FRONT PORCH» thumbwheel.
Note: This setting has no effect on horizontal blanking width.
PAL 1,5 ±0,3 µs (1,65 µs ±0,1 µs PAL I)
NTSC 1,5 ±0,1 µs
Composite outputs 1 and 2
2.6.1.2 - External reference without blackburst
Link J92 on the «GENLOCK/VIDEO» board must be set to «OFF».
In this case, the output composite signal carrier is internally slaved with respect to the sync signals.
The reference signal should be a black video signal and terminated with 75 Ohms load.
With the Z160 soft version ≥ 47017011/D (identified 011/D on the circuit), S170 must be set to high position (FINE) only.
With the Z160 soft version ≤ 47017011/C (identified 011/C on the Z160 circuit), S170 enable a bar pattern on all the Channel Control Unit outputs.
Horizontal phase alignment of the analog output signal
The horizontal phase of the composite signal with respect to the external reference signal is adjusted using the «ΦH COARSE» and «ΦH FINE» thumbwheels:
•«ΦH COARSE»: Adjustment in steps of 592 ns.
•«ΦH FINE»: Adjustment in steps of 37 ns.
