4-4-2-2.Community Strings

Use this page to enter SNMP community strings.

1.Community Name: Type the name of the current strings.

2.Write Access: Enable privileges as read only or read/write.

a.Read only: Enables requests accompanied by this string to display MIB-object information.

b.Read/write: Enables requests accompanied by this string to display MIB-object information and to set MIB objects.

Actions->

<Add>: Create a community string.

<Edit>: Configure all items. When finished with the configuration, press ESC to go back to the action menu line.

<Delete>: Delete a community string. After item is deleted, press <Save> to complete the deletion operation.

<Save>: Save all configured values.

<Quit>: Exit this page and return to previous menu.

_Add Community Name

1.Press <Add> ￿ <Edit> key.

2.Community Name: Type the community name.

3.Write Access: Press <Space> to select rights as restricted or unrestricted.

_Edit Community Name

1.Press <Edit> to choose the item that you want to modify and then press Enter.

2.Community Name: Type the new name.

3.Write Access: Press <Space> to select rights as restricted or unrestricted.
