Setting the speaker impedance

Setting the speaker impedance

Caution

If you are to use 6 ohm speakers, set “SP IMP.” to

“6MIN” as follows BEFORE using this unit. 4 ohm speakers can be also used as the front speakers.

1Make sure this unit is turned off.

Refer to the right column for details.

2Press and hold 5TONE CONTROL on the front panel and then press 1STANDBY/ON

to turn on this unit.

This unit turns on, and the advanced setup menu appears in the front panel display.

3Rotate the 6PROGRAM selector on the front panel to select “SP IMP.”.

“SP IMP.” and the current speaker impedance setting (“8MIN”) appear in the front panel display.

4Press 5TONE CONTROL on the front panel repeatedly to select “6MIN”.

5Press 1STANDBY/ON on the front panel to save the new setting and turn off this unit.

Note

The setting you made is reflected next time you turn on this unit.

When you turn on this unit, there will be a 4 to 5-second delay before this unit can reproduce sound.

Set this unit to the standby mode

Press 1STANDBY/ON (or HSTANDBY) to set this unit to the standby mode.

In the standby mode, this unit consumes a small amount of power in order to receive infrared signals from the remote control.

You can also turn on this unit by pressing 3SCENE (or

ASCENE) buttons.

When you turn on this unit, there will be a 4 to 5-second delay before this unit can reproduce sound.
