LOCTITE ®

LOCTITE® is being used on ALL small dryers (AD-15 through AD-81 including stack dryers) that are manu- factured by ADC. LOCTITE® is being applied to ALL bearing set screws, used on ALL basket (tumbler) shafts, ALL idler shafts, ALL impellor (fan and blower) shafts, and ALL drive shaft bearings.

IMPORTANT

LOCTITE® ADHESIVE HAS BEEN USED

TO SECURE SET SCREWS AND BEARINGS

IN PLACE, ONCE SET SCREWS HAVE BEEN

REMOVED, A GEAR PULLER MAY BE NECESSARY

TO REMOVE BEARING TO AVOID DAMAGE.

P/N 112801

One (1) of these labels is attached to each Basket (tumbler) Bearing Assembly (pillow block bearing box). On the ADG-630 dryer this label is affixed near the small Impellor (fan) Shaft Bearing.

Should readjustments or removal of set screws become necessary in the field and the process becomes difficult, apply heat to the set screw with a soldering gun (450º F) for a few minutes.

IMPORTANT: Readjustment and removal of the Impellor (fan) Shaft bearings using Green LOCTITE® (#609) require that the bearing itself be heated.

In lieu of heating, ADC recommends the replacement of these assemblies in order to provide a true fit and avoid any warpage upon reinstallation.

NOTE: The application of LOCTITE® during the dryer manufacturing process does not preclude the recommended six (6) month interval that ADC advises for periodically checking ALL set screws within the dryer.
