8.Check belt tension and make the necessary adjustments. Follow belt and idler tension adjustments procedure in section K.

9.Reinstall the upper half of the rear split back guard panel removed in step 2.

10.Reestablish power to the dryer.

S. Basket (Tumbler) Alignment - Lateral

1.Discontinue power to the dryer.

2.Remove the upper half of the rear split guard panel to either the top or the bottom basket (tumbler), depending on which basket (tumbler) is being serviced.

3.Loosen the two (2) HEX head bolts (one (1) turn is enough) that hold the pillow block bearing to the bearing box.

4.Back off the two (2) jam (HEX) nuts on the side adjustment bolts. Rotate the basket (tumbler) from the front of the dryer, checking the space between the basket (tumbler) and the front panel. Door opening should be equal on each side.

5.The lateral adjustment (see illustration on page 17):

A.To increase gap R, loosen (turn counterclockwise) adjustment bolt A and tighten (turn clockwise) adjustment bolt B.

B.To decrease gap R, loosen (turn counterclockwise) adjustment bolt A and tighten (turn clockwise) adjustment bolt B.

C.To increase gap L, loosen (turn counterclockwise) adjustment bolt A and tighten (turn clockwise) adjustment bolt B.

D. To decrease gap L, loosen (turn counterclockwise) adjustment bolt A and tighten (turn clockwise) adjustment bolt B.

6.Tighten and secure both adjustment bolts and jam.

7.Tighten bearing bolts loosened in step 3.

8.Check belt tension and make the necessary adjustments. Follow belt and idler tension adjustment procedure in section K.

9.Reinstall the upper half of the rear split back guard panel removed in step 2.

10. Reestablish power to the dryer.
