Hardware Installation

Unpack the Trumpcard Ethernet LAN hardware, and follow the steps listed below to install it on your computer. Instructions are included for both 10BaseT twisted-pair and 10Base2 thin coax Ethernet Network operations.

Preparing for Installation

To install the Trumpcard, you require the accompanying diskettes and the following items:

A computer equipped with a PCMCIA Release 2.0, Type II PC Card slot.

PCMCIA Card and Socket Services Version 2.x or higher, installed. This is optional since the Trumpcard can be operated without Card and Socket Services.

A Network operating system that is supported by the Trumpcard Network drivers.

For 10Base2 (thin coax) Networks, a coaxial T-connector and a terminator if at the end of the coaxial segment.

For 10BaseT (twisted pair) Networks, a twisted pair Network cable terminated with an RJ-45 connector when using the Media Access Module for 10BaseT connections.
