Making a phone call using the directory

Before using this feature, program the desired names and telephone numbers into the directory (page 27).

{+} {-} {>} {STOP}

1 Press {>}.

DIRECTORY [±]

2 Press {+} or {-}until the desired name is displayed.

Example:	Lisa	[±]

LIf the desired name has not been stored, press {STOP} and dial the number manually.

3 Press {MONITOR} (KX-FT74)/ {DIGITAL SP-PHONE}(KX-FT78) or lift the handset.

LThe unit will start dialling automatically.

To confirm the stored telephone number on the display

1.Press {>}.

2.Press {+} or {-}until the desired name is displayed.

3.Press {HELP}.

LTo stop the operation, press {STOP}. LTo make a call, press

{MONITOR}/{DIGITAL SP-PHONE}

or lift the handset.

To search for a name by initial

Example: “Lisa”

1.Press {>}.

2.Press {+} or {-}to enter the directory.

3.Press {5} repeatedly until any name with the initial “L” is displayed (see the character table on page 24).

LTo search for symbols (not letters or numbers), press {*}.

4.Press {+} until “Lisa” is displayed.

LTo stop the search, press {STOP}. LTo make a call, press

{MONITOR}/{DIGITAL SP-PHONE}or lift the handset.
