10.The apparatus is capable of making outgoing calls to emergency services in the powered and unpowered modes of operations.
11.The apparatus should not be used in conjunction with other connected apparatus such that the aggregate voltage drops of all the apparatus, together with the volt are drop introduced at 40mA by any separate wiring that is used to link items of apparatus, exceeds 2.0 volts. The voltage drop of the SF4500 is 1.7 volts.
12.If appropriate extension wiring and/or sockets are not already installed, they must be installed:
-By BT or
-Where the extension wiring is not owned by BT, by the authorized maintainer of the PBX unless the authorized maintainer has been given 14 days written notice that the extension wiring and/or sockets are to be installed by another person and that period of notice has expired.
13.While operation of the series connection may be possible initially, changes or modernisation of the network taking place in the normal course of events may result in the TE being connected to a network service with which it was not desinged to be compatible. Failure of the TE to work under these circumstances may not be the fault of the network operator.
14.The principle types of apparatus with which the series apparatus is suitable for use will be simple telephone or answering machines. These will be used in conjunction with the TEL/FAX and ANS/FAX modes of operation.
15.If you attach any equipment to your fax machine it should not effect how safe it is, and the standard it was approved for, EN 60950.
16.If you are connected to a Private Branch Exchange, you normally have to press a digit to get an outside line. This number is usually Ô9Õ. You then dial as normal. If you need a pause, you should press it between the Ô9Õ and the phone numbers. Use the Tone Break Recall facility to transfer calls between phone extensions.
