CONNECTING ADDITIONAL DEVICES

EXT2 AUX

1 Connecting additional devices to the second SCART socket

DVD-PLAYER etc.

You can connect additional devices such as decoders, satellite receivers,

 

DVB-T set-top boxes, DVD players, video recorders etc. to the “EXT2

 

AUX” (SCART-2)socket. When playback on these additional devices is

 

started, the DVD recorder automatically connects the “EXT2 AUX”

 

(SCART-2) socket with the “EXT1 TO TV” (SCART-1) socket. You will

 

then see the picture from the additional device on your TV.

Attention:

In order to see the picture from the additional device on your TV, you need to select the video input source “Video 1” or “S-Video”by pressing the button “SOURCE” on your remote control. If the picture is black and white, please switch the input source from SCART “Video 1” to SCART “S- Video”.

Note:

Most pre-recorded video cassettes and DVDs are copy-protected. You cannot copy them.

2 Connecting additional devices to the front sockets

 

Video input sockets for connecting devices with composite video output or

 

DV output, e.g. DVD player, video recorder, camcorder (video input source

 

“Video 2” or “DV”). For easy copying camcorder recordings, please use

 

the front sockets. These sockets are located on the right side of the front

 

panel.

If you have a DV / Digital 8 camcorder, connect the “DV IN” input of the DVD recorder to the appropriate DV output on the camcorder. Use the but- ton “SOURCE” for selecting the video input source “DV”.

If you have a camcorder, DVD player, video recorder etc. that has a single video output (composite video, CVBS), connect the “VIDEO IN 2” input of the DVD recorder to the appropriate video output on the camcorder, DVD player or video recorder. You must also connect the audio input “L AUDIO IN R” on the DVD recorder to the audio output on the camcorder, DVD player or video recorder. Use the button “SOURCE” for selecting the video input source “Video 2”.
