Protecting/unprotecting a title

To prevent an important recording from being accidentally erased, you can protect a title.

What happens with DVD+R discs?

As long as discs have not been finalized, you can protect titles on the disc - the same as DVD+RW discs.

1 Select the title to be protected by pressing the button Cor D.

2 Press the button “EDIT” on your remote control, select “Protect” with the direction buttons and confirm your selection by pressing “ENTER” on your remote control.

3 The message “Protect this title?” appears on the TV screen. Please select “OK” with the direction button if you want to write-protect this title.

4 If you do not want to protect this title, select “Cancel” to cancel this operation.

5 The protect title progress bar appears on the TV screen and the required title is protected.

6 In the lower right corner of the protected title appears the icon to inform you that this title is protected. In this status you are only able to play the title respectively to unprotect the title again or to format the disc. All other options in the edit menu are not possible.

Tip:

If you want to unprotect the title at a later date, please repeat the steps and choose in step 2 “Unprotect”. The unprotect title progress bar appears on the TV screen, the required title is unprotected and the icon

disappears.
