Playing a DVD+R/RW or DVD-R/RW disc

1 If playback does not start automatically, select the title you want to play from the index picture screen using the direction button “C” or “D”.

2Press the Play/Pause button “A/I” or the button “ENTER” to start the playback. In the display will appear the chapter number and the elapsed time.

3During playback press the button “TITLE” or “MENU” to return to the index picture screen.

4To stop the disc, press the Stop button “J” on the remote control.

Additional playing functions:

•With the button “H” or “F” you can select the previous or next chapter within a title while playing.

•You can also use the repeat functions. For this, please use the but- tons “REPEAT A-B”and “REPEAT 1/ALL”.

5To eject the disc, press the Open/Close button “K” on the remote con- trol or on the front of the device.

Playing a (Super) Video CD

(Super) Video CDs may be equipped with PBC (Playback Control). This means that special playback functions (menus) can be selected directly. The Video CD must be PBC-compatible (see CD packaging).

1 Insert a (Super) Video CD. If playback does not start automatically, press the Play/Pause button “A/I” on the remote control or on the front of the DVD recorder.

2 If a menu appears on the screen, use the number buttons “0-9”to select the menu option you want. If the PBC menu contains a title list, the desired title can be chosen directly.

3 Stop playback using the Stop button “J”.

Additional playing functions:

•With the button “H” or “F” you can select the previous or next track.

•When playing a (Super) Video CD, you can also use the repeat func- tions. For this, please use the buttons “REPEAT A-B”and “REPEAT 1/ALL”. Please note that the PBC function has to be disabled when using this function.
