INSTALLATION

CÂBLAGE DU SYSTÈME

REMARQUE : Voir le schéma à la page suivante indiquant comment connecter le système.

MISE EN GARDE : si vous ne vous sentez capable d'effectuer le câblage de votre nouvel appareil, veuillez confier l'installation à votre distributeur agréé Rockford Fosgate.

MISE EN GARDE : avant d'entamer l'installation, déconnectez la broche négative (-) de la batterie pour éviter tout risque de blessures, d'incendie ou de dommages à l'appareil.

1.Installez le harnais d'alimentation 16 broches en connectant les fils correspondants au système électrique et audio. Soudez et thermorétrécissez toutes les connexions pour assurer une installation fiable. Pour chaque connexion, découpez un morceau de tube thermorétrécissable de 2,5 cm (1 po) et enfilez-le sur l'un des fils. Dénudez chaque fil sur une longueur de 1 cm (3/8 po), puis torsadez et soudez. Enfilez le tube sur la connexion et rétrécissez-le à l'aide d'un pistolet à air chaud jusqu'à ce qu'aucun fil nu ne soit plus exposé.

2.Connectez le fil NOIR (Ground) à la masse du châssis. Préparez la masse du châssis en grattant toute trace de peinture de la surface métallique et en nettoyant soigneusement pour éliminer tout dépôt de saleté et de graisse. Dénudez l'extrémité du fil et fixez un connecteur en anneau. Fixez le fil au châssis à l'aide d'une vis non anodisée et une rondelle en étoile.

3.Connectez le fil JAUNE (Backup) à une source de tension constante de +12 V (afin de préserver en mémoire les fonctions programmées par l'utilisateur). La source doit toujours fournir +12 V, même si le contact est éteint et que le véhicule n'est pas en marche.

4.Connectez le fil ROUGE (ACC +B) à une source commutée de +12 V (sous tension seulement lorsque la clé de contact est en position « accessoire » ou « marche »). Connectez le fil ROUGE à une source positive commutée de +12 volts. Le signal commuté est émis généralement lorsque le contact est en position ACC (accessoire). Si le véhicule ne possède pas de position ACC, connectez le fil à la position commutée « ON » du contact. La consommation de courant de ce fil est négligeable.

5.Connectez le fil BLEU CLAIR (Remote B+) aux fils d'allumage à distance (« Remote Turn-On » ) du ou des amplificateurs). Ceci allume les amplificateurs externes lorsque la source audio est mise sous tension.

6.Connectez le fil BLEU/ROUGE (Auto Ant.) au fil de l'antenne télécommandée. Ceci fait sortir l'antenne automatiquement lorsque l'appareil est allumé, mais seulement s'il est en mode TUNER.

7a. Connexion des haut-parleurs (sans utiliser d'ampli externe)

Connectez les fils de haut-parleur aux fils correspondants des haut-parleur en soudant et thermorétrécissant toutes les connexions pour assurer une installation fiable. Si le système comporte une seule paire de haut- parleurs, utilisez uniquement les fils de haut-parleur AVANT et thermorétrécissez les fils ARRIÈRE non utilisés afin d'éviter les risques de court-circuit.Veillez à respecter la polarité des haut-parleurs. NE mettez PAS les fils de haut-parleur à la masse sur le châssis car cela pourrait causer un fonctionnement instable.

7b. Connexion des haut-parleurs (en utilisant un ampli externe)

Installez le faisceau de sortie préampli en branchant les câbles RCA dans les prises d'entrée RCA correspondantes des amplificateurs. Prenez soin d'acheminer les câbles de signal à l'écart des fils à haute tension pour éviter que le signal audio ne subisse d'interférence de bruit provenant de champs de rayonnement électriques. La SORTIE AVANT se connecte à l'ampli du haut-parleur avant. La SORTIE ARRIÈRE se connecte à l'ampli du haut-parleur arrière. La SORTIE SOMME se connecte à l'amplificateur du subwoofer.

8.Connectez le changeur de CD (en option) en branchant le câble DIN à 8 broches dans le connecteur situé à l'arrière de l'appareil. NE PAS connecter la télécommande à fil en option à ce connecteur.

9.Connectez la télécommande à fil (en option) en branchant le câble de contrôle DIN à 8 broches dans le connecteur en queue de cochon suspendu à l'arrière de l'unité source. NE PAS connecter le changeur de CD en option à ce connecteur.

10.Connectez l'antenne en branchant son câble dans le connecteur situé à l'arrière de l'appareil.

Assurez-vous que l'antenne est bien mise à la masse sur le véhicule afin d'obtenir une bonne réception radio.
