Wheel Lock Adjustment/Replacement

WARNING

After ANY adjustments, repair or service and BEFORE use, make sure all attach- ing hardware is tightened securely - otherwise injury or damage may result.

REMOVING/INSTALLING REAR WHEELS (FIGURE 1)

NOTE: If replacing the rear wheels with a different size than what was originally on the chair, the front caster height must also be changed to keep the chair frame parallel to the floor. Refer to ADJUSTING CASTER HEIGHT in this procedure of the manual. Anti-tipper height (if applicable) must also be adjusted to maintain 1/4 to 1/2-inch clearance between the bottom of the anti-tipper wheels and the floor. Refer to PROCEDURE 8 of this manual.

QUICK OR QUAD-RELEASE AXLES

1.Perform one (1) of the following:

A.Push in the tip of the quick-release axle and pull the axle and wheel out of the axle mounting plate.

B.Pull UP on the quad-release axle handle and pull the axle and wheel out of the axle mounting plate.

2.Repeat STEP 1 for the opposite rear wheel.

3.To reinstall the rear wheel onto the axle mounting plate, reverse STEPS 1-2.
