Updating the firmware automatically

Follow the procedure below to install the latest firmware automatically.

Notes

Automatic firmware update can be performed only if this unit can be connected to the internet. If not, follow the procedure in “Updating the firmware manually” (page 44).

Once the firmware update is started, do not perform any other operation until update is completed and this unit is restarted. If the update operation is interrupted, this unit may become unusable, in which case this unit needs to be returned to the factory to repair.

When the firmware update is completed, this unit is restarted automatically. All of the calls being connected are disconnected at this time.

Do not unplug the LAN cable during the firmware update. Otherwise, this unit could become unusable and may need to be returned to the factory to repair.

You can specify any URL to download the firmware (page 44).

This unit is connected to the internet and downloads the latest firmware. When downloading is completed, the firmware update is automatically started.

The firmware update process takes a few minutes to complete.

MIC MUTE (red LED) on the top panel of this unit flashes during the firmware update process. Do not turn this unit off while MIC MUTE (red LED) flashes.

When the firmware update is complete

This unit restarts automatically.

Check the version number in the “Program Version” field on the top of the web menu to confirm that the new firmware is installed properly.
