Monitoring Incoming Calls
You are able to hear messages as your callers leave them through the speaker in the base. Lifting the handset while a caller is leaving a message will stop recording and allow you to talk.
Listening to Messages
When a new message is received, the light on the PLAY button will flash Red and the total number of incoming messages will be displayed.
Use the PLAY and STOP buttons to start and stop message playback. Pressing PLAY will play new messages first. Use the PREV button for the olds. If there is no new message in the machine, it plays older messages starting from the first record. The display will show the number of the message record.
Playback can ONLY start while the hand- set is in the cradle. The light on the PLAY button will shine Green while messages are playing.
To listen to messages with Clarity Power, lift the handset during message playback. The volume and clarity of the message can then be controlled by the Clarity Power slide control.
During Playback
To Pause a Message
Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to pause a message while playing. The PLAY button will flash Green while message playback is paused. Pressing PLAY will resume message playback. During pause, the number of the message record will be displayed.
To Repeat a Message
Press the PREV button to return to the beginning of the current message. Press the PREV button twice to return to the previous message. The number of the message record will be displayed.
To Skip a Message
Press the SKIP button to advance ahead to the next message. The number of the message record will be displayed.
Receiving New Calls
During Message Playback
The answering system will stop message playback if a phone call is received during message playback.
