Making and receiving calls
To make a call
Lift the handset and listen for a dialling tone.
Dial the number you require.
To end the call, replace the handset.
To dial a Quickdial memory number
Lift the handset, or press the
Handsfree | Handsfree button. |

Press the required Quickdial memory button, for example M1, M2 or M3.
The number stored on that Quickdial memory button is dialled.
To receive a call
When the phone rings, either:
| Pick up the handset and speak. |
| Or |
Handsfree | Press the Handsfree button. |

Receiving a call from the User
If your User has pressed the emergency button to contact you but there is not actually an emergency, the emergency light on your BT In Touch 2000c Carer Phone will flash and you will hear the emergency beeps. To cancel the flashing and beeping, press and hold down the Cancel button.
Please note
For future reference, you should advise your User to phone you using the Directory, (having stored your number with the prefix 1 4 1 ), so they don’t accidentally start the emergency sequence again. See ‘To make a
