This chapter provides information on getting assistance, and ordering sup- plies and accessories. It also provides other technical information and a Limited Warranty statement.

Getting Assistance

Follow these three steps if you encounter a problem:

1The fastest way to solve most problems is through the “Maintenance and Troubleshooting” chapter.

2Make sure you are operating your HP Fax in the correct environment. The HP Fax is not supported and will not receive ￿faxes with:

Roll-over phone systems (such as automatic answering systems), voice mail, call waiting, and some other advanced features provided by your phone company on the phone line used by your fax.

3If you’re unable to resolve the problem after reviewing the “Maintenance and Troubleshooting” chapter, contact your dealer or the HP Customer Care Center for further assistance.

Important: Be sure to have the following information at hand before you contact HP or your dealer:

Product name, model number (printed on the keypad), and serial number (label on the back or bottom of the product).

￿A description of the problem, including any error messages.

Purchase date and proof of purchase. (Refer to the “Hewlett- Packard Limited Warranty Statement,” on page 40.)

Caution: To avoid printing problems and ink spillage, remove the print cartridge before repackaging and shipping the HP Fax.
