2Set Up to Receive Faxes

Your phone line(s), answering machine, modem, and/or voice mail will determine whether you can receive faxes automatically or must receive them manually. Answer these questions to determine how you can receive faxes with your HP Fax.

Do you have a dedicated phone line that will receive calls only for your HP Fax?

Yes:

1.We recommend that you plug a phone into one of the jacks marked To Phone, Ans. Machine or Modem on the fax connector on the back of your HP Fax.

2.Press Answer Mode until Auto appears in the display.

Your HP Fax is now ready for use.
