Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS)

The Rosemount 5300 Series has been evaluated by a third party, Exida, against hardware requirements according to IEC 61508. With a FMEDA (Failure Modes, Effects and Diagnostics Analysis) report with a Safe Failure Fraction (SFF) above 90%, 5300 is suitable in SIS according to the Prior Use methodology.
