Installing the Printer Driver

Using Balloon Help

With System 7.0.1 or later, Balloon Help can be used to explain the functions of the printer driver buttons, check boxes, and radio buttons. By displaying Balloon Help, you can get a simple explanation of each function.

Follow the steps below to use Balloon Help.

1.Select Show Balloons from the Help menu (found on the menu bar, at the upper right corner of the screen).

2.Move the cursor over the button or box to be explained.

To hide Balloon Help, follow the steps below.

1.Select Hide Balloons from the Help menu.

Selecting the MD-1300 Driver

If you want to print using the MD-1300, you should select the MD-1300 printer driver in the Chooser before you create documents in your application. If you want to print documents created when the MD-1300 printer driver was not se- lected, first select the MD-1300 in the Chooser, then choose Page Setup from your application’s File menu, and finally change the application’s page format and other settings if needed.

Follow the steps below to select the MD-1300 printer driver.

1.From the Apple menu, select the Chooser.
