Antenna-to-Antenna Isolation Measurement

Antenna-to-Antenna isolation measurement is accomplished in Insertion Loss Mode. Inser- tion Loss Mode (+ 6 dBm) is used to drive the signal level large enough to be detected by the second antenna system. The Insertion Gain Mode (–30 dBm level) does not output enough power to provide an accurate measurement of Antenna-to-Antenna isolation .

Required Equipment

￿Test Port Extension Cable, Anritsu 15NNF50-1.5C (2 each)

￿Adapter, Anritsu 36NN50A

Procedure

 

 

 

Step 1.

Press the MODE key.

 

 

Step 2.

Select INSERTION LOSS (+6 dBm) using the Up/Down arrow key and press

 

ENTER.

 

 

 

Step 3.

Set the frequency range for the antenna system. The table below indicates fre-

 

quency settings for common systems.

Step 4. Perform a full two port calibration of the Site Master (see page 3-4). The cali- bration will provide a 0 dB reference level as shown in Figure 4-16.
