SNMP Configuration

SNMP Conﬁguration

The s option in the Conﬁguration menu displays the SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) Conﬁguration Menu of the IntraChassis 9000, as shown in Figure 3-5. For further details on using SNMP and RMON for remote management of your network, see Chapter 5, "Advanced Management".

This menu allows you to conﬁgure the unit’s read and write community strings, and enable or disable authentication traps. It also allows you to specify which of your network management stations will receive traps from the IntraChassis 9000.
