Troubleshooting

I cannot retrieve voicemail messages.

•Your telephone has both a built-in answering system and voicemail indication. They are independent features and each alerts you to new messages differently (page 85). If you subscribe to voicemail service from your telephone service provider (charges may apply), contact your telephone service provider for more information on how to access your voicemail.

I am receiving incomplete messages.

•If a caller leaves a very long message, part of it may be lost when the system disconnects the call after the maximum recording time you have set (page 84).

•If the caller pauses for longer than seven seconds, the system stops recording and disconnects the call.

•If the system’s memory becomes full during a message, the system stops recording and disconnects the call.

•If the caller’s voice is very soft, the system may stop recording and disconnect the call.

I am having difficulty hearing messages.

•Press VOLUME to increase speaker volume on the telephone base.

•Press VOLUME to increase the listening volume on a handset.
