SESDiskFailureAlarm

SC 5500, SC 5700

Activates an audible alarm when the appliance determines that a RAID member disk drive has failed. The enclosure which contains the failed disk drive creates the sound, other enclosures are unaffected.

Default: disabled

set SESDiskFailureAlarm [enabled disabled]

get SESDiskFailureAlarm

SESEnclosures

SC 5500, SC 5700

List SES-enabled enclosures which have been discovered by the appliance.

SESEnclosures

SESIdentify

SC 5500, SC 5700

Tells the appropriate SES enclosure to identify the specified element(s). ALL identifies all disks. RAID GroupName identifies all disks in a RAID Group. If the MemberIndex is also specified, only that disk is identified. ENC and enclosure index identifies all slots in the specified enclosure. DRIVE BlockDevID identifies the specified disk.

Note

The SESEnclosures command must be executed before executing the SESIdentify ENC or SESIdentify ALL command.

set SESIdentify [ALL RAID GroupName <MemberIndex> ENC EnclosureIndex DRIVE BlockDevID]

get SESIdentify [ALL RAID GroupName <MemberIndex> ENC EnclosureIndex DRIVE BlockDevID]

SESIdentifyStop

SC 5500, SC 5700

Tells the appropriate SES enclosure(s) to stop identifying the specified element(s). If the MemberIndex is specified, only that disk is identified. DRIVE and BlockDevID identify the specified disk.

SESIdentifyStop [ALL GroupName <MemberIndex> DRIVE BlockDevID]

SESMute

SC 5500, SC 5700

Causes the audible alarms for all known enclosures to be muted or to use the remind state. The remind state causes an occasional audible reminder, if supported by the hardware, of the alarm condition.

xvii

Note

The command SESEnclosures must be executed before executing SESMute.

Default: Mute

SESMute <EnclosureIndex> <remind>

SESPoll

SC 5500, SC 5700

Specifies the SES enclosure polling interval in seconds. At the specified interval, all known SES enclosures are polled for their current status. A setting of 0 disables SES enclosure polling.

Default: 60

set SESPoll [0 30-3600] get SESPoll

SESStartingSlot

SC 5500, SC 5700

Establishes the starting slot/ID number for all attached SES enclosures.

Default: 1

set SESStartingSlot [ 0 1] get SESStartingSlot

SESStatus

SC 5500, SC 5700

Displays the last polled status of the specified element type in the specified enclosure. Supported SES features include: fan, power, temperature, alarm and drive LEDs. If no element type is specified, the status of each is displayed.

Note

The command SESEnclosures must be executed before executing SESStatus.

SESStatus [EnclosureIndex] <ENC DRIVES FAN

POWER TEMP ALARM SUPPORTLEVEL>

Controls whether an SNTP time server sets the date and time.

Default: enabled

set SNTP [enabled disabled] SaveConfiguration Restart command required get SNTP

SNTPServer

Controls or displays the main IP address the client uses to retrieve the SNTP time and date.

Default: 192.43.244.18
