Product Overview

Introduction

The EmergeTM DM2000 Desktop Manager (Management Appliance) is a secure, web browser-based, centralized enterprise management solution that allows users to remotely manage and monitor multiple Emerge ECMS2000U Digital Workstation Extender systems.

The addition of this appliance allows the combination of ECMS Transmitters and ECMS Receivers to operate in Desktop Mode. This mode allows a user to log in to any ECMS Receiver and the system will connect automatically to the ECMS Transmitter that has been assigned to that user.

An Extender system comprises two units - an ECMS Receiver that is located at the user’s desk, and

an ECMS Transmitter that is attached to a remote computer (target device). For detailed information about the Emerge ECMS2000U Digital Workstation Extender system see the Avocent EmergeTM ECMS2000U Digital Workstation Extender - Installer/User Guide.
