Click the Grouping Tab on the MatrixPRO Control application. A sample tab is shown below:

The MatrixPRO routers can be set up to "lock-out" input sources that are incompatible with certain output display devices.

SExample: Input channels 1, 2 and 3 are all SD-SDI sources, and output channels 1, 2 and 3 are SD-SDI display devices. Input channels 4, 5 and 6 are HD-SDI sources and output channels 4, 5 and 6 are HD-SDI devices.

Establishing groups like these prevents an input from Group 2 from being accidentally switched to a Group 1 output. The type of route and the input source must still be established using the Video Switching page.

„Use the following steps to establish a group:

1.Define the Group Number by selecting a Group index from the Groups column.

2.Select the output channels that will be associated with this Group (e.g., outputs 1, 2 and 3).

3.Select the input channels that will be associated with this Group (e.g., inputs 1, 2 and 3). As these keys are clicked, they will turn yellow.
