Printing a reduced incoming fax (Auto Reduction)
If you choose On, the machine automatically reduces an incoming
fax to fit on one page of lette r or legal size paper. The machine
calculates the reduction ratio by using the page size of the original
and your Paper Size setting ( Menu/Set, 1, 3).

If it is not illuminated i n green, press (Fax).

Press Menu/Set, 2, 1, 5.

Use or to select On (or

Press Menu/Set.

Receiving a fax at the end o f a conversation (FAX-1920CN Only)
At the end of a conversation you can ask the other party to fax you
information before you b oth hang up.

Ask the other party to place the original in their machine and to
press Start. Tell the other pa rty to wait until your ma chine sends
receiving tones (chirps) before hanging up.

When you hear the other machine’s CNG tones (be eps), press
Black Start or Color Start.

If you picked up the handset, replace it.
Printing a fax from the m emory
If you set Fax Storage to ON for Remote Retrieval, you can still print
a fax from the memory when you are at your mach ine. (See Setting
Fax Storage on page 8-3.)

After printing has finished, press Stop/Exit.
If you receive faxes that are split on two pages, turn on this
setting. But if the original is too long, the machine may print it on
two pages.
