These stitches are used for joining two pieces of fabric, for example, when making patchwork.

1.Join pieces of fabric together with a straight stitch (see page 35) and press seams open.

2.Set the Pattern Selection, stitch length and stitch width dials to sew Double Action Stitch, Bridging Stitch, etc.

3.Place the fabric right side up and center the seam line when sewing.
