5.7.9Setting the Operational Mode
If the device is configured to operate as a SecureFast switch, it
!must be assign and save a unique IP address (i.e., the device
CAUTION | has rebooted and the new IP address is active) before setting |

| the operational mode. Refer to Section 5.7.1 for more |
| information on how to assign and save an IP address. |
To set the Operational Mode, proceed as follows:
1.Use the arrow keys to highlight the Operational Mode field.
2.Press the SPACE bar to step to the appropriate operational mode (802.1d SWITCHING, 802.1Q SWITCHING, or
SECURE FAST VLAN).
3.Use the arrow keys to highlight the SAVE command and then press ENTER. The warning screen shown in Figure

4.Use the arrow keys to highlight the YES command and press ENTER. The changes are saved and the module reboots.
