The selectable settings and the default settings vary depending on the country where you have purchased the FAX. The values shown here are average values.

For the default settings for your FAX, see Appendix B.

Setting	Description	Sub-Settings
DATE & TIME	Sets the current date and time (1 p. 3-6).	–
UNIT TELEPHONE #	Enters the fax/telephone number you want to appear	–
	at the top of each fax page you send (1 p. 3-6).
UNIT NAME	Enters the name or company name you want to appear	–
	at the top of each fax page you send (1 p. 3-6).
TX TERMINAL ID	Enables/disables printing of the sender information	ON
	(1 p. 3-5).	OFF
TTI POSITION	Selects whether the sender information is positioned	OUTSIDE IMAGE
	inside or outside the image area (1 p. 3-5).	INSIDE IMAGE
TELEPHONE #	Selects the prefix for the unit number (1 p. 3-5).	FAX
MARK		TEL
SCAN CONTRAST	Selects the scanning contrast (1 p. 7-3).	STANDARD

OFFHOOK ALARM	Enables/disables the off hook alarm that alerts you	ON
	that the handset is not seated properly in its cradle.	OFF
VOLUME CONTROL	Sets the volume of the FAX sounds.	–
CALLING VOLUME	Selects the ring volume when the FAX detects a voice	1/2/3
	call.
KEYPAD VOLUME	Selects the keypad touch beep volume.	0 (off)/1/2/3
ALARM VOLUME	Selects the error alarm volume.	0 (off)/1/2/3
LINE MONITOR VOL	Selects the line monitor volume (sound during dialling).	0 (off)/1/2/3
RX CALL LEVEL	Selects the ring type for incoming calls.	HIGH

TEL LINE TYPE	Selects the telephone line type setting for your FAX	TOUCH TONE

R-KEY SETTING	Enables dialling through a switchboard.	PSTN
