The selectable settings and the default settings vary depending on the country where you have purchased the FAX. The values shown here are average values.

For the default settings for your FAX, see Appendix B.

Setting Description Sub-Settings

UN/LOCK PHONE	Enables/disables restriction of the FAX (1 p. 9-17).
LOCK PHONE	Enables/disables restriction of the FAX to make calls
	and send faxes.
PASSWORD	Enters a password to restrict access to the LOCK
	PHONE setting.
RX RESTRICTION	Restricts reception of faxes to the numbers registered
	for speed dialling on your FAX (1 p. 9-20).
	If you select ON, you can select additional sub-settings.
DATE SETUP	Selects the date format displayed in the LCD and
	printed on the faxes you send.
DISPLAY LANGUAGE	Selects the language of the LCD messages, settings,
	and reports.

TX START SPEED Selects the speed at which the FAX starts transmitting.
