Setup Procedure for Unstriped or Striped Volumes

NOTE: Steps 1 through 9 of this section describe a process that is common to unstriped and striped volumes. The process diverges after step 9. At that point, see “Procedure for Unstriped Volumes Only” on page 6-23 or “Procedure for Striped Volumes Only” on page 6-28.

1.After the computer boots-up, right-click on the “My Computer” icon on the desktop and select “Manage”. Or, left-click on Start, then right-click on My Computer > Manage (for Windows XP or Windows 2003).

2.The Computer Management screen appears. Click “Disk Management” at the left side. See Figure 6-15.
