Cisco ATA-to-SIP Server—Registration with Authentication

Figure D-2 illustrates the CiscoATA registering with the SIP server. Authentication is required for

registration.

The call flow is as follows:

1. Cisco ATA requests registration.

2. SIP server requests authentication credential.

3. Authentication is received and registration is completed.
