Remote Emergency Power Off (REPO) Port
The Compaq R6000 UPS Series models include a Remote Emergency Power Off (REPO) port, as required by the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70). The REPO port provides a terminus to attach controls that shut the UPS outputs down from a remote location. The REPO ports of multiple UPS units may be connected to a single switch or circuit to shut down the entire system in an emergency.
IMPORTANT:
■The REPO feature shuts down protected devices immediately and does not follow the orderly shutdown procedure initiated by Compaq Power Management Software.
■The REPO feature will shut down devices that are operating on battery power. When the REPO switch is

The $25,000 Computer Load Protection Guarantee only applies in the following circumstances:
■The Compaq R6000 UPS was properly connected to utility power by a qualified electrician and remained properly connected during operation. For proper Compaq R6000 UPS wiring directions, see “Connecting the Compaq R6000 UPS to AC Branch Circuit,” in Chapter 2 of this guide.
■The Compaq R6000 UPS installation complies with all applicable electrical and safety codes specified by the National Electrical Code (NEC)Refer to Chapter 2 in this guide for applicable codes.
■The UPS is used under normal operating conditions. Users comply with all instructions and labels.
■The UPS is not damaged by accident (other than a utility power transient), misuse, or abuse.
