UPC/EAN/JAN Supplemental Redundancy

With Autodiscriminate UPC/EAN/JAN Supplementals selected, this option adjusts the number of times a bar code without supplementals is decoded before transmission. The range is from two to twenty-two times. Five or above is recommended when decoding a mix of UPC/EAN bar codes with and without supplementals, and the autodiscriminate option is selected. The default is set at seven.

Scan the bar code below to set a decode redundancy value. Next, scan two numeric bar codes in Appendix E, Keypad. Single digit numbers must have a leading zero. To correct an error or change a selection, scan the CANCEL bar code located in Appendix E, Key- pad.

Transmit UPC-A Check Digit

The check digit is the last character of the bar code used to verify the integrity of the data. Scan the appropriate bar code below to transmit the bar code data with or without the UPC-A check digit. It is always verified to guarantee the integrity of the data.
