7Close the system. See "Closing the System" on page 46.

8Enter the System Setup program and ensure that the hard drive’s controller is enabled. See "Entering the System Setup Program" on page 24.

9Exit the System Setup program and reboot the system.

10Partition and logically format the drive.

See the documentation that came with the drive for instructions on installing any software required for drive operation.

Removing a 3.5-Inch Hard Drive From a Hard-Drive Bracket

Detach the hard-drive bracket from the hard drive by pushing out the edges of the bracket and removing the hard drive. See Figure 3-11.
