Cut Sheet Feeder
Control panel operation
To operate the cut sheet feeder manually from the control panel when the printer is in the cut sheet feeder mode, make sure that the printer is off line.
LINE FEED | When there is paper in the printer, press this |
| button to feed the paper one line, or hold it |
| down to feed the paper continuously. |
FORM FEED | When there is no paper in the printer, press this |
| button to load the paper. When there is paper in |
| the printer, press this button to eject the sheet. |
LOAD/EJECT | When there is no paper in the printer, press this |
| button to load the paper. When there is paper in |
| the printer, press this button to eject the sheet. |
Software operation
You can use the ESC EM command to turn on or off the cut sheet feeder mode. This command can be used to override the cut sheet feeder mode setting made by the DIP switch
If the paper reaches the bottom of the print area when any of the following line feed commands is used, the sheet in the printer is automatically ejected and the next sheet is loaded.
LF: | Line Feed; advances the paper one line |
VT: | Vertical Tab; advances the paper to the next vertical tab |

ESC J: Line feed by n/216th of an inch
Software is not effective while the printer is off line. Make sure that the printer is on line if you wish to control the cut sheet feeder using software commands.
