Printer Status window

The Printer Status window shown below provides detailed

information on the status of a selected printer. The Printer

Status window has two menus; Current Status and Printer

Information. See the next page for information on these menus.

To open the Printer Status window, double-click a printer in

the Installed Printers list, or select the printer and then choose

Printer Status from the Printer menu of the EPSON Status

Monitor 2 window. You can also access the Printer Status

window by click ing the Details button in a Status Alert dialog

box. For information on the Status Alert dialog box, see

“Setting Monitoring Preferences” on page 5-20.

Operation The Operate light is on but nothing prints. Nothing prints and the control panel lights are on or flashing. The printer sounds like it is printing, but nothing prints. The printer operation check prints well, but nothing prints from within an application program. 8-12 Page Color documents print out in black and white. Printing starts too high or too low on the page. 8-14 Print speed is not what you expect. Something on the page is wrong or missing. The New Hardware Found screen appears even though the printer software has already been installed. Paper handling 8-16 Paper does not feed properly from the paper tray. Page The printer loads more than one sheet at a time. Single sheets do not feed properly from a manual feed slot. 8-18 Ejected paper is wrinkled. Paper does not fully eject. Paper feed or paper jam problems occur frequently. Printing quality 8-20 The printed image has gaps or faint areas. The printed image is blurred. The printed image is smeared. 8-22 White horizontal lines appear in the printed image. Vertical printed lines are not aligned. Print quality is not what you expect. Colors are different than you expect. 8-24 Page Colors are not very vibrant. 8-26 Photographic images look grainy or rough. Printer utilities The Status Monitor 2 searches for the printer but cannot find it.
