The printer loads more than one sheet at a time.
Cause What to do
Too many sheets are loaded
in the paper tray. Take the paper stack out of the tray,
remove some sheets, and re load paper.
Before you load paper, see page 2-5 to
check the amount of paper you can
load in the paper tray.
The edge guides are not set
correctly. Adjust the guides against the stack of
paper. See “Loading Paper in a Paper
Tray” on page 2-7.
The paper was not fanned
before being loaded in the
sheet feeder.
Remove the paper stack and fan it. Tap
it on a flat surface to even the edges.
Then reload the paper.
The edges of the paper stack
are not even. Remove the paper stack and tap it on
a flat surface to even the edges. Then
reload the paper.
The paper is too thin. Make sure the paper meets the paper
requirements for this printer. See
“Paper” on page A-2.
Single sheets do not feed properly from a manual feed slot.
Cause What to do
Paper is curled or folded. Use flat, non-damaged paper.
The paper may be too thick
or too thin to be fed. See “paper” on page A-2.
The single sheets are not
loaded deeply enough. Load single sheets into the manua l
feed slots until they meet resistance.
