White horizontal lines appear in the printed image.
Cause What to do
The Media Type setting in
your printer driver is
incorrect.
Make sure the Media Type se tting
matches the type of paper loaded in
the printer.
The Super MicroWeave
option in your printer driver
is not selected.
Turn on Super in your printer dri ver.
One of the ink cartridges is
low on ink. Check the control panel to determine
which ink out light is flashing, and
replace the appropriate ink cartridge.
The print head nozzles are
clogged. Clean the print head. See “Cleaning
the Print Head”on page 8-37.
Vertical printed lines are not aligned.
Cause What to do
The print head is misaligned. Align the print head with the Print
Head Alignment utility. See “Aligning
the Print Head”on page 8-41.
The printing position is
misaligned. Make sure the High Speed option in
your printer driver is not selected.
Print quality is not what you expect.
Cause What to do
The paper loaded is not the
paper selected in your
application or the printer
driver.
Make sure you loaded the correct pap er
in the printer and that you selected the
same media type in your application
and/or the printer software.
Make sure you are using paper that
meets the paper requirements for this
printer. See “Paper” on page A-2.
