Non-Combustible Finish Materials

0 Inches to 4 Inches Thick Inside Fit Method

The mesh decorative front is approved for inside fit ap- plications. Non-combustible finishing materials up to 4 inches thick can be installed around the Mesh front (left, right, top, and bottom). The inside fit method requires an additional 2 in. of 1/2 in. thick non-combustible building material (not supplied with fireplace) to be installed on the left and right sides flush with the factory installed non- combustible board.

Ensure that no non-combustible finish materials are in- stalled within 1-1/2 inches of top and bottom and 1-3/16 inches from right and left sides of fireplace opening. This will ensure adequate clearance for required mesh front. See Figure 13.11.
