K. Battery Tray/Battery Installation
The IntelliFire PlusTM system has a battery backup option. Battery longevity and performance will be affected by the service temperatures of this appliance. Batteries should only be used as a power source in the event of an emer- gency such as an outage.
L. After Fireplace is Lit
Initial Break-in Procedure
•The fireplace should be run three to four hours continuously on high.
•Turn the fireplace off and allow it to completely cool.
•Remove fixed glass assembly. See Section 14.E.
•Clean fixed glass assembly. See Section 3.
•Replace the fixed glass assembly and run continuously on high an additional 12 hours.
This cures the materials used to manufacture the fire- place.
NOTICE! Open windows for air circulation during fire- place
•Some people may be sensitive to smoke and odors.
•Smoke detectors may activate.
