Operations Menu

Introduction

Operations-level commands are used for making immediate and temporary changes to GbE2 Interconnect Switch configuration. The Operations Menu is used for bringing ports temporarily in and out of service. This menu is available only from an administrator and operator login.

port <port number>

Displays the Operational Port Menu.

 

 

vrrp

Displays the Operational Virtual Router Redundancy Menu.

 

 

passwd <1-128 characters>

Allows the user to change the password. You need to enter the current password in

 

use for validation.

 

 

clrlog

Clears all Syslog messages.

 

 

ntpreq

Allows the user to send requests to the NTP server.

Operations-level port options are used for temporarily disabling or enabling a port.

Displays the 802.1x Port Menu.

 

 

rmon disableenable

Enables or disables Remote Monitoring for the port. RMON must be enabled for any

 

RMON configurations to function.

 

 

ena

Temporarily enables the port. The port will be returned to its configured operation mode

 

when the GbE2 Interconnect Switch is reset.

 

 

dis

Temporarily disables the port. The port will be returned to its configured operation mode

 

when the GbE2 Interconnect Switch is reset.

 

 

cur

Displays the current settings for the port.
