NAS function

The mp200 allows other devices on your network to access the USB storage device plugged into the mp200.

Enabling the NAS function

Before enabling the NAS function, you need to configure the mp200’s networking functions. Please refer to the network setup section of this guide for more details on configuring the network.

The NAS feature is turned off by default and must be enabled in order to use it. To enable this feature choose the “Setup” icon on the main menu, select the Network category, and then set “NAS” to “On”.

While you are in the mp200’s Network page, you will see that the IP Address is displayed (under the “Wired Lan setup” or the “Wireless Setup”. Please write down this IP Address for accessing the NAS functionality later.

Accessing the NAS function

In order to access the mp200 media player, please make sure that you are using a PC that is on the same network as the mp200. For example, using a Windows XP PC, click “Start”, and navigate to “Run”. In the “Run” dialog, enter the command \\IP Address (where IP Address is replaced with the address you wrote down in the previous section). For example:
