Changing an Alias Profile
You can change the contents of an alias prole with the CHANGE ALIAS command.
For the naming conventions and syntax to use to respond to the prompts, refer to \Adding an Alias Prole," abo ve.
To change an alias prole:
1.Type CHANGE ALIAS at the NETUtil prompt.
CHANGE ALIAS prompts y ou rst for the curren t alias name of the prole y ou want to change and then prompts y ou for additional information.
2.Enter the current alias name.
3.Enter a new alias name. If y ou do not want to change the current alias name, press the
4Return5 key.
The current value for each parameter in the en try is displayed in succession. You are prompted to enter a new value for each parameter. If y ou do not want to change a current value, press the 4Return5 key.
4.Conrm the changes by entering Y or N.

Deleting an Alias Profile
To delete one or more aliases from the AliasDB le use the DELETE ALIAS command at the NETUtil prompt. If y ou enter an alias name, y ou delete the alias prole for that name. If y ou enter an asterisk, y ou delete all alias proles for a specic serv er.

To delete one alias prole, do the follo wing:
1.Enter the alias name of the alias prole y ou want to delete.
2.Conrm the deletion b y entering Y or N.
To delete alias proles for a specic serv er node, do the following:
1.Enter an asterisk (*) for the Alias Name.
2.Enter the database serv er type (ALLBASE/SQL).
3.Enter the server node name.
4.Conrm the deletions b y entering Y or N.
