Follow these steps to continue configuring the system:
a. Enter a System Name.
Enter a name for the system in the Syst em N ame
field. This name will help other Netfinity Manager
us ers identify the system on the network.
b. Select a Networ k Driver.
Select one of the available Network Drivers that
are displayed in the Network Drivers field. Once
sele ct ed , th e Net wor k Driv er wi l l ass ign a net wo r k
address to the system.
Notes:
(1) The fields that appear beneath the Driver
Enabled check box will ch ange depending
on which Network Driver has been selected.
(2) When enabling the IPX or TCP/IP Network
Dr iver, the networ k address cannot be
alter ed, an d it will not appear on the screen.
No fie ld wi ll appear beneath the Dri ver
Enabled check box if the IPX or TCP/IP Net-
work Driver is selected.
(3) When enabling the NetB IOS N etwork Dri v er,
a netw ork address wi ll be selecte d and dis-
played in the Network Address field. To
change thi s defau lt name, enter any 1–8
character addr ess. However, thi s addre s s

must

be unique to the system. If this Net-
BIOS address is identical to the NetBIOS
address of another system on the network, it
will prevent Netfinity Manager from starting
properly.
(4 ) W he n en ab lin g the S eri al N et fin ity Ma na ger
driver, type a name that will be used to iden-
tify the system in the Unique Machine Dia-
lup Name field. This name can be up to 32
characters long, and must be unique to th e
